Andrea Berchert - Trinity Lutheran Preschool Director
With over 30 years of working with nonprofits, she has managed to become an expert in the field. Serving her 20th year with TLP, Andrea manages the everyday operations within the preschool, staff, and the State of Michigan. She and her husband, Matthew, have 2 grown children who are off on their own exciting adventures. “The greatest reward is to see the staff and families happy and enjoying what they do. Working with such talented people, and working together to provide the best program possible to our wonderful families, has been the highlight of my career. I can’t imagine doing anything else.” Andrea enjoys camping, photography, the beach, and fitness.
Terri Sauve - Lead Teacher
Serving the organization for over 25 years, Terri brings a love for children and creative ideas to the classroom. Married to her husband Gregg, they have 2 married children and 2 wonderful grandsons. Terri completed her Associates degree in Applied Technology and has earned her college credentials with endorsement in the area of Early Childhood Development. Her philosophy is “If the children love to come to preschool, then they will learn – which forms the foundation for a lifetime of success”. Terri loves working with children and believes there’s no reason to go to Disney, because this is “the happiest place on earth.”
Cindy Cummings - Assistant 3’s Class
A member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 30 years, Cindy has been an active volunteer in many roles throughout the community, including the public schools, and the church. She is married to her husband, Clark and they have raised four amazing sons in the Midland community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin, walking with friends, and reading. “I enjoy being in the class room and find great joy in helping them grow from timid, unsure 3 year olds and into confident, independent 4 year olds!”
Debora Zigoris - Assistant 4’s & Young 5’s
A diverse career spanning from personnel management to Information Technology throughout the country, and working the past 15 years at Trinity Lutheran Church. She is known as “Mrs. Z” to the students, Debora offers a vast amount of creative and technical assistance to the classroom. Married to her husband George, she has grown children and grandchildren throughout the state. “All of the positions I’ve held throughout my career were rewarding, but nothing compares to the joy I have working with your children. Learning each of their personalities and find the things that energize their creativity is a gift each day. This is truly the BEST job ever!”
